Dear my beloved bloggerHI,
I found an interesting article titled “Senja Kala Blogging di Indonesia”, written by Tutu Nugraha Dewanto, an online PR consultant regarding decreased blogging activities in Indonesia. He stated that Indonesian netter now choose to have fun with his Facebook/Twitter account rather than to update their blogs. As the impact of this new trend, he added that many blogs now was being ignored and unupdated. It reminds me to portalHI, indeed.
Through YM and Facebook, I got tones of protest why portalHI hadn’t new article for a long time. Actually I’m trying to update portalHI but it’s really difficult to manage my time effectively and efficiently. The transition from collegiate life to working professional is my big problem. Currently I’m working in a independent global PR firm IndoPacific Edelman as account executive in Public Affairs division. But now I have updated portalHI and continue this further.
Please rest assures that I’m still belongs to bloggerHI. I do love writing, discussing IR issues with you and blogwalking. Apology for not updating this blog for a long time. Congratulation for Bung Asrudin with your new book. Bung, I’m still waiting for your free book (Smile). In conclusion, I believe that the increasing popularity of Facebook and other social network will not make our bloggerHI die down. It’s our chance to prove that blogging for IR scholar is an habit, an established practice.

Perkembangan dunia intersional tidak jauh berbeda dari waktu semenjak bung Verdinand ‘meninggalkan’ Portalhi.web.id. Hanya beberapa isu ’seksi’ yang menarik untuk dibahas.
Tapi, ada satu hal yang menarik. Saya pernah membaca buku tentang kebiasaan orang kulit putih, dibandingkan dengan yang lain, salah satunya yaitu, mereka tidak suka dengan mainstream. Dalam buku tersebut, dijelaskan, ‘Musik Indie’. Musik yang hadir dari petualangan musik sendiri yang dan tidak harus terikat dengan musik kebanyakan. Mereka bebas ber-ekplorasi dengan semua daya imaginasi dan kreatifitas mereka.
Hal seperti inilah, yang menurut saya, dapat dikembangakan di blog ini, tidak harus terpaku kepada isu-isu mainstream yang sedang terjadi dan hangat di bahas di media, baik cetak maupun elektronik.
Bagaimana caranya?
Pertama, kreatifitas dan imaginasi. Didasarkan atas latar belakang ilmu yang memang sesuai dengan kontent blog ini, Bung Verdinand, saya yakin mempunyai banyak referensi akan isu-isu global.
Kedua, responsif dan pro-aktif. Cepat dan tanggap terhadap isu-yang sedang berkembang, dan kemudian, secara ilmiah, mampu memberikan dan memaparkan, ‘dampak’ atau ‘isu lanjutan’ dari isu yang sedang berkembang tersebut
Ketiga, terbuka dan aktual. Menerima dan merespon saran dan kontent secara terbuka, dengan dilandasi semangat intelektualitas.
Terakhir,
seperti kata seorang dosen HI kepada saya, beberapa waktu sebelum saya lulus, “Put your heart”, yang apabila saya jabarkan, kira-kira artinya akan menjadi…
“berikan hati anda terhadap pekerjaan yang anda lakukan”, karena itulah esensi utama dari sebuah bekerja dan berbuat.
